About the author

"Exploring the darkest corners of human nature to understand the light."

Hi! I'm Riccardo Braccaioli
Welcome, Reader. I am Riccardo Braccaioli, a contemporary crime thriller author dedicated to crafting intricate, fast-paced police procedurals and psychological mysteries.
My literary journey is defined by gripping investigations across Europe and beyond:
  • The Inspector Álex Cortés Saga: My signature crime series, following a sharp homicide detective tracking down ruthless killers through the atmospheric, shadow-drenched streets of Barcelona.
  • The Ten Commandments Killer: An intense, bestselling puzzle-box thriller series that has captivated thousands of listeners worldwide on Audible.
  • The Forensic Investigator Series: Launched in mid-2024, this dark, innovative franchise takes readers outside the real world into the sinister, corruption-plagued alleys of Akeron City. The debut installment, El Forense, quickly climbed the ranks to the front page of the prestigious Amazon Storyteller contest, hailed by readers as one of the year's most gripping and original crime releases.
Step Inside the Mystery
They say that unexpected turns force us to reinvent ourselves. For me, creating complex puzzles for readers to solve is the ultimate reinvention. When I am not plotting the next twist, you can connect with me and follow my writing process on my official website and social media channels.
New to my books and don't know which case to crack first? I invite you to download a free preview of the novel that started it all: The Scench of Death, the explosive opening chapter of the Álex Cortés investigation. Let's see if you can outsmart the killer before he does.
“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional storytelling. Braccaioli stands among the modern masters of the genre—the Spanish answer to Michael Connelly.”
